Following graduation from dental school where Dr. Piede achieved a Doctorate in Dental Medicine he completed a general practice dental residency at the United States Public Health Hospital in Staten Island, New York. It was there that he met his wife as she worked with him as an oral surgery assistant. He was then assigned to the hospital staff at the United States Public Health Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Piede practiced dentistry in the Decatur area before joining DentFirst in 1992. He lives in Dunwoody with his wife, Irene, of 35 years, and their two sons John and Tony.

Bob enjoys home repair projects which keep him busy. He also enjoys collecting canes, stamps, knives, ivory carvings and Meerschaum pipes. One of his favorite pastimes is shopping with his wife. Dr. Piede still enjoys dentistry after 40 years of practice. He sees every day as a new adventure. He particularly enjoys restoring smiles with crowns and removable prosthetics. He has no plans to retire because dentistry has always been what he wanted to do since the age of twelve.
