Dr. Karen Horace, DDS

Dr. Horace was born and raised in the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. At age 14, Karen moved to Lakewood, New Jersey. Dr. Horace attended Howard University for her undergraduate degree and for dental school. After graduating dental school, she completed a general practice residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. From there, she completed her specialty training in periodontics at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She enjoys involving her patients in their periodontal care, and is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and the National Dental Association. Dr. Horace lives in Avondale Estates with her husband, Donald, and their two daughters. When she’s not practicing dentistry, she enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school and being a Girl Scout troop leader. Ask her about her adventures in scouting sometime!
